We got some beautiful new props and blankets that we wanted to try out on some Newborn portraits. A huge thank you to Kylie with her newborn baby Lucas and Maya with her newborn baby Sophia. They were little treasures and were great fun to photograph.

Beautiful Kat and the pleasure of practice shoots

Every now and then we like to get a “model” in to the studio to try out some new ideas with. I photographed Kat and her family three years ago when they were expecting their second daughter Imogen. Our eldest daughters are in class together and I have been eyeing up her beautiful belly as it has bloomed over the past few months. Well this week Kelly and I had the absolute pleasure of “playing” with her for an hour. She was very obliging as we asked her to twist every which way to acheive just the look we were after. And the results? Well we just LOVE them. Thank-you Kat – you truely are gorgeous!

We will be looking for more lovely people to model for us during the first week of October in our Wellington Studio – specifically pregnant mamas (32 weeks plus), newborns (under 3 weeks) and babies in the 6-12 month range. Please note these are training shoots for a new staff member and we will need both parents present to practise the poses with. As always with practise shoots, we will gift you two 6x8s of the resulting images and any others will be at a 20% discount. Contact us on 04 499 3339 if you are interested.

Time for an update!

Our fundrasing for Christchurch has been a great success.
We raised $12,000 which will be donated to the Red Cross.
We had a fantastic turn out with the families in Wellington, thank you so much for your support.

Next Sunday (6th of March) we are offering free sittings with 100% of print sales being donated to Christchurch recovery operations. If you would like even just a few small images of your family or even a single child please call me on 04 386 4326 to book in. I will take beautiful images for you that you can treasure for your lifetime and also know that the money you spent on them helped another family get back on their feet. And if I donate it to the BP Wild Bean cafe fund, BP have promised to match it dollar for dollar. If you spend as little as $300 you will be giving $600 to helping Christchurch families!! Thats got to feel good!

This is currently a Wellington only offer but we will most likely be offering it in Auckland soon too.
